Schulungsbeschreibung Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Demand Planning Course Language English Course Objective and Content This workshop provides participants with detailed knowledge on topics related to material requirements/demands planning. In this context, different approaches are explained, such as order-based planning using order promising functionalities or order planning, or comprehensive optimizing planning using the requisition or planning worksheet. The practical examples cover items that are purchased, as well as those procured through transfer orders, assembly, or production orders. Examples with multiple bill of material levels are also discussed. Both quantity and scheduling aspects of planning are addressed. Participants will have ample opportunity to work through their own scenarios. The topics are discussed almost exclusively from a user’s perspective, with programming questions only touched on briefly: Set up the parameters for order promising Carry out delivery date commitments for purchasing, transfer orders, assembly, and production items (including multi-level production) Use order planning to identify and procure shortages Set up planning parameters on the Item Card/Stockkeeping Units Use the requisition worksheet Use the planning worksheet with different levels of planning depth (Get action messages, refresh planning lines, or calculate regenerative plan) Understand the different types of event messages (new, change quantity, reschedule, cancel) Set up tolerances to suppress insignificant action messages Understand the impact of demand forecasting and blanket orders on planning Use the reservations worksheet to allocate available inventory to requirements, such as sales or production orders Course Participants The workshop is aimed at individuals who have been working for some time as consultants, support staff, or developers in the SCM area of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and wish to deepen their knowledge in the field of requirements planning. Prerequisites A prerequisite for attending this workshop is that the participant has completed the courses Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – SCM (Part 1: Essentials) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – SCM (Part 2: Advanced) or has equivalent knowledge.
