Course Objective and Content

In this course, the structure and use of the standard Fixed Assets module are taught. Participants will learn how to set up Depreciation Books for various types of depreciation according to different legal requirements, as well as how to configure various asset types along with ongoing postings and automated depreciation runs up to reporting.

In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Fixed Assets, all aspects of the Fixed Assets functionality available in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central are covered. This course explains how to set up Fixed Assets, perform many different asset transactions, and carry out transfer, maintenance, and insurance operations related to assets.

Once you have thoroughly familiarized yourself with these topics, you will be able to optimize the depreciation and reporting processes for assets and automate routine tasks related to them. This course will explain how to speed up data entry by copying assets, how to define default values for automatic input in data fields, and how to collect information using the powerful query and reporting options to make informed business decisions.

This course is intended for individuals who want to become familiar with the technical aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Fixed Assets and acquire basic knowledge of the application functions.

Prerequisites

A mandatory prerequisite is that participants have attended the foundational courses

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Essentials
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Financial Management (Part 1: Essentials)
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Financial Management (Part 2: Advanced)

or have equivalent knowledge in Dynamics NAV (Navision) / Business Central.

Additionally, accounting knowledge and experience in Fixed Assets accounting are essential.
