This course builds on the knowledge that the participant has acquired in the following courses:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – VS Code AL Introduction (Part 1: Foundation)
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central –VS Code AL Introduction (Part 2: Advanced)

The following topics are covered:

• AL Programming
• Complex data types and their internal member functions
• Analysing objects
• Booking routines
• Integration of dimensions

Understanding these topics will allow you to streamline your development process for integrating your own developments or customisations into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The course presents the complete development process of a solution - from diagnosis to development and implementation. Conceptual and practical tips are given for all phases of solution development.

The aim of the course is to impart the basic knowledge required for solution development. The most reliable way to learn the technical and theoretical concepts of solution development is to put them into practice. Therefore, a solution development for a given overall requirement is developed during the course.

Once the overall requirement has been presented, it is broken down into individual requirements. These individual requirements represent separate development tasks that are nevertheless integrated into the application.

At the end of the course, the aspects of implementing this solution will be discussed.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to perform the following tasks:

• Diagnosis of customer requirements
• Analysis of individual use cases
• Solution design for every use case
• Development and testing for every use case
